A heaven has no need for prophets and saviors

Do you consider it odd that deep within the human psyche is the desire to be rescued? Is it strange that people pray to an invisible being in the sky to be rescued from their pain and hardship over and over again each day; to give them one good thing in a sea of suffering? Do we have any idea that we subconsciously want to be rescued in the first place? And what does this tell us about the status of life on earth anyway?

Recorded history shows us that human beings have been controlled by gods in one form or another for as long as people have been telling or writing their stories: Gods telling people what they can and cannot do. Gods punishing humanity for its disobedience. Gods rewarding humans like puppy dogs when they were “good” or loyal. All gods claim to be real, while some are called false. How could one keep up with so many various deities and discern their true intentions?

Over millennia, many prophets and teachers have risen up from the general population in order to bring us messages of escape. Their meanings and interpretations and messages may differ. But their underlying assumption is always the same: there is a system you didn’t know about; here is how you overcome that system. When you overcome that system, you escape.

Some humans choose to worship these leaders. Others choose to act and live like them. Some build statutes and tributes, some honor their messages through their actions.

If we take a step back from the “which prophet is right” game, we see that the underlying message is the same: “don’t you want to leave this place? Isn’t this place miserable? Don’t you want to go to the spiritual life after this physical life? Here’s what you have to do to get there,” they say.

And all of this begs the question: why would a heaven need such prophets and saviors? The answer is: it wouldn’t.

So what does that tell us about the nature of reality on earth? Why would a person need an escape route, a blueprint, a map?

Why would we have to be awoken to the fact that there is a system?

Why have some sacrificed their lives attempting to share this message? Why would they care?

Why would we need to be judged and controlled by gods in the first place? What kind of people are judged according to their every thought?

You only need an escape if you are trapped. You only need a map if you are lost. You only need a blueprint picture if you cannot clearly see. And you only need to be monitored and controlled if you are a prisoner.

What kind of planet needs a savior?
